Hi, I’m Wiveka, B.Sc. Physiotherapy, MBA with over 30 years management experience!
Wiveka, founder of Wive Effect
The Wive Effect Values and Mission:
Our definition of health is two things:
To have the power to live your life fulfilled and
to build a body that prevents you from pain.
The values WE are working around are:
Fun, Simple and Effective.
Our mission is:
WE inspire human growth
My mother, she has been my inspiration, my hero all these years. You are the best, wherever you are! Love you to the moon and back, forever.
Sports has always been a very big part of my life, I ‘ve been involved in most sport activities during my childhood. In my senior year in High School I studied in USA where I also played varsity tennis in the school team.
After returning to Sweden 1983, I studied at the Karolinska Institute and graduated as leg physiotherapist in 1987.
Not many years after that I found leadership and management interesting and I really used my knowledge about how the human works, both physically but not least mentally. What motivates people and as a consequence of that, what demotivates people?
After 16 years in the finance industry, some years at Investor I took the challenge to make a turnaround as the CEO for Birka Cruises for three years.
To go from minus hundreds of million SEK to make a profit of hundreds of million SEK made me really convinced that you can really do dramatic change focusing on your employees, their motivation, engagement, participation and responsibility.
When the turnaround was done, I started my own company, which now is Wive Effect AB in 2011, and the business idea is very simple – make profitable companies with focus on their employee’s wellness, motivation, engagement and participation. This is what I have been working successfully with for the last 10 years in many different branches. Now I am taking Wive Effect one step further, focusing even more on inspiring people to create a new healthy lifestyle.
The interest in the importance of physical activity, of course in combination with my background as a physiotherapist, increased markedly in the autumn of 2020 when I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, spondylosis and stenosis of the back after an MRI of the back. After a year of daily physical activity, I am basically pain-free.
