Walk with Bungy Pumps

Lesley Delmar, a South African marathon runner, are happy to find a complement to running where she is working with her upper body.

Walking with sticks can both help us get up to speed and engage virtually the whole body in our walks. This makes the pulse come up easier and we also train the upper body.

Some technical tips when walking with with walking sticks:

  • Have a proud posture, shoulders in place

  • Keep your arms at 90 degrees, adjust the sticks accordingly

  • Insert the sticks while they are still tilted backwards, so you don´t put yourself into break breakmode.

  • Push off with your arms when the stick goes backwards.
